'I think six would be just right'

Description

So, maybe I didn't need any new next-gens, but I've been wanting to do this for ages; though trying to produce a variety of distinct kids for parents whose designs have minimal differences can be a challenge, and I only just managed to make each of them look unique enough for my tastes. (They would also have some variation in fur colour, too, but of course, a rough sketch such as this has no way of conveying that.)

Anyway, Tod and Vixey's kits in my AU. Six, of course - as per that particular quote of Vixey's - who would be important characters in a would-be sequel to Fox and the Hound that I've been wanting to come up with for about four-and-a-half years and never actually done anything towards :P None of them have names so far, but I've worked out their personalities, at least.

EDIT: Correction: all now have names; thanks so much to :iconuniversescollideinc: for the help with them ^^

From left to right:
#1 - Moss. The final kit of her parents' first litter, and their second and youngest daughter, this girl is the most playful and fun-loving of Tod and Vixey's kids; to her, everything is a game, and she treats it as such, much to the frustration of her other siblings. There seems to be very little that she truly takes seriously.
*though it's hidden in the pic, her left ear droops a little at the tip*

#2 - Fern. The older daughter, the second kit of the first litter, this girl is a 'prim and proper', no-nonsense type, in stark contrast to her younger sister. She can't really take a joke, and is very fussy about the way things ought to be done; something which her siblings tease her for to no end.
*she has the darkest fur of all the kits*

#3 - Rowan. The eldest kit of the litter, this guy is an impetuous adventurer; very sure of himself, convinced that he can handle anything that comes his way - and a bit of a loner, too, prefering his own company to that of his parents or siblings.

#4 - Alder. The second youngest of the first litter, this guy could almost be considered a bit of a nerd; his main interest is learning everything about everything, no matter how strange the topic or how far he has to go to achieve it; he wants nothing more than to learn every last thing possible about, well, anything. And then will proceed to talk himself blue in the face on whatever new topic he's just discovered to anyone who shows even the slightest bit of interest.
*unlike Tod, #2 and #5, his paws are lighter than his main fur, rather than darker. He also has the lightest fur out of the kits*

#5 - Birch. The older - only very, very slightly - of the second litter, this guy is a complete little cutie. He's the sort of kid who always just wants to be helpful but never *quite* manages it due to his own overenthusiasm. He's never really discouraged by this, though, or at least never for overly long.
*out of all his siblings, he is the one with the messiest fur*

#6 - Walnut. The youngest kit Tod and Vixey have, this little guy is a daydreamer. He generally pays very little attention to where he is or what's going on around him, lost in his own little world, and so will often wonder far and wide without even realising it, and is prone to abruptly finding himself very lost as a result.
